U-PROBE, a model project, is being implemented at multiple locations (100 schools) of Uttaranchal. The programme aims at bringing together students, teachers and the scientific community. Also, it attempts to inculcate multidisciplinary understanding among different stakeholders through the multi-location meteorological observations and other related scientific activities. Considering its dimensions and multiplicity there is a need for quick dissemination of observations and experiences of various stakeholders. Likewise, at different occasions the programme and implementing agencies would require advices and suggestions from experts of different fields. In this context, publication and timely dissemination of U-PROBE newsletter may be of tremendous help. This initative would help in making the entire U-PROBE process an interactive and encouraging exercise for the students and teachers. The U-PROBE newsletter may include the following:
- NEWS (Items from different schools,TRCs and other partners focusing on approaches and achievments)
- VIEWS (Incluses original views of students, teachers and other associated individuals/organizations regarding the role of students/teacers, efforts of TRCs and involvement of other agencies)
- RESEARCH BRIEFS (Scientific observations, analysis and interpretations of data emanating from U-PROBE activity)
- AWARENESS FORUM (Current happenings, experiences and thoughts of experts & eminent people, new ideas, concepts and innovations)
